2025 Election Instructions
North Rosedale Park Civic Association Members in good standing (have paid 2025 Dues or are Life Members) are eligible to vote in the 2025 election of the Board of Directors to be held on Friday, January 10, 2025. Members will be voting on candidates for the positions of president, vice president and four (4) directors.
Members in good standing will have three options to vote; a) in-person, b) absentee or, c) online. Please read below for instructions to select the option that works best for you:
If you haven’t paid your 2025 dues, but want to vote in the election, you can pay your 2025 membership at www.nrpca.org/membership or drop off payment to the North Rosedale Park Community House, checks made payable to NRPCA. Payment will also be accepted on Election Night. The resident membership rate is $75.
In-Person Voting
The NRPCA Election will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 6-8PM.
Eligible members may vote in-person at the Community House, 18445 Scarsdale St. Residents will have their address checked against the membership roll and will receive a paper ballot to vote.
Absentee Voting
If an eligible member is unable to appear in person at the polling place during the hours designated for voting, the member may obtain an absentee ballot from the Membership Secretary in advance of the election.
Absentee ballots must be requested by Sunday, January 5. Contact Phyllis Lee, Membership Secretary, at phyllis@nrpca.org to obtain an Absentee Ballot.
The ballot must be delivered to the mail slot on the front door of the Community House at 18445 Scarsdale, Detroit, MI 48223 or to the election workers before 6PM on Friday, January 10, 2024.
Ballots are sent by request only and should not be duplicated.
Online Voting
NRPCA will offer online voting via the voting service, Election Buddy.
- To vote online, members must “opt-in” and fill out the online voting request form found below named “2025 Online Voting Request Form”. Click the button and complete the form.
- The online voting sign-up must be completed by Sunday, January 5.
- Members will have their name/address checked against the membership roll, and once confirmed as in good standing (have paid 2025 Dues or are Life Members), will receive a unique link to vote on January 8. Voters may cast their online ballot up until 8pm on Friday, January 10, 2025.
- If more than one person will vote in the household, EACH person must sign up in order to receive a unique link to vote.
- IF YOU SIGN UP TO VOTE ONLINE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE IN-PERSON TO ENSURE ONLY ONE VOTE IS CAST PER PERSON.
How voters access the online ballot:
- A voter notice is delivered to each voter, which contains the voter’s unique voter link (a website address that contains an access key and takes the voters straight to the ballot). The notice is delivered by email and/or text message.
- Alternatively, voters can access the ballot by using a web browser to visit the access link, https://electionbuddy.com/ballot, where they are prompted to enter their access key.
- An access key (a unique, random combination of 16 individual alpha-numeric characters) is required to access the ballot.
- The online vote is a Secret Ballot — voter choices cannot be linked to voters, it is anonymous.
